A magnificent, unused building near the Mariinsky Theater was to be converted into a casino. Its intended use changed after construction work began, and the plans had to be altered. After various market and site analyses, it was decided that the building should become a five-star luxury hotel. In planning the hotel, the remodeling that had already begun was to be taken into account.
